But what if I don`t like my color palette?

I feel this is one of the biggest fears when we talk about finding out your color swatch. Many people are scared of not liking their color palette or just feeling limited by specific colors. The truth is, a good color analyst will teach you how to cheat your colors, giving you flexibility even if you don’t love all your colors.

The transition to a new color palette can sometimes be shocking and uncomfortable at the beginning. This should be expected as, with anything new, we are stepping out of our comfort zone. That is why I teach my clients ways to adapt their current wardrobe to the new color palette. This seems like the right thing to do rather than just suggesting they donate everything.

These techniques can be used not just right away, but also for when you fall in love with a new piece of clothing that isn’t in your colors and you want to buy or wear it anyway. If you do a color analysis and don’t come away with these tools, you’ll either feel restricted by your colors or end up ignoring them altogether. Neither of these extremes is good.

Over the past 10 years of conducting color analyses, I have adopted the practice of having a 30-minute Zoom call one week after the initial assessment. During this call, I reinforce the information provided on test day and present a personalized report that you can keep and revisit whenever you need inspiration or a reminder of our discussion. I find this is the best way to combine valuable information with precise techniques that truly empower you and give you control over your colors.
